Happy Easter! (4-14-14)

HAPPY EASTER

This week has been very successful. Our investigator Adam has accepted the invitation to be baptized and he is praying about the date (April 30th or May 10th). Adam came to church yesterday and stayed for all three hours. He absorbs everything that he learns and he has been blasting through the Book of Mormon. He is almost through Alma! Just a testimony builder that those who read the Book of Mormon with real intent WILL know for themselves that it is true.

Harley is a new investigator that we have with a date to be baptized on April 26th. We haven't even met him yet! Elder Card and Chavarria from our district found him and set a date with him and transferred Harley to us since he is in our area. We are so excited to help him prepare for his date!

On Tuesday Sister Braegger and I fasted for our area since things have slowed down since the baptism of John. Fasting works!! Miracles always follow :)

This morning we got a call that we are moving. Just to another members basement in our area. We have been living with the Roberts. A wonderful couple. We will miss them. The women we are moving in with is Sister Ball. She doesn't want Elders living with her (hmm wonder why haha) So Elders will replace us at the Roberts home. We will still be covering the same 3 wards.

This week has been fairly warm and I have even gotten some sun :) Obviously not as much as Elder Perryman gets in Peru. It is still fun considering how white I am. I even am getting a tan line from my Noah's Ark CTR ring...pretty fancy.

Not sure what else to add. Sorry I didn't take as many pictures this past week. Enjoy Easter!

Love,
Sister Price!

PS check out www.easter.mormon.org you will want to watch the video over and over again!

General Conference (4-7-14)

General Conference was wonderful! We were happy to have a new investigator (that was found on a successful blitz) come to the Sunday morning session. I really enjoyed the talk on follow-up. I especially loved that Elder M Russell Ballard encouraged every member to get a Preach My Gospel and study it. So I expect everyone to keep that commitment! I enjoyed when he said, “No matter how good your message is, you may not get a chance to deliver it without consistent, persistent follow-up.”

This week Sister Braegger and I hit our 9 month mark. So she insisted that we take a bump picture...I was against it at first, but she convinced me. That explains the awkward bump picture.

The Stake President over the YSA took us and the elders to Wingers for lunch this week. We pigged out and ended with a lemonade drinking contest. My swimmer lungs caused me to dominate the competition and put the elders to shame. There is a funny video of it that I will share one day.

For April fools we wore mustaches to district meeting.

Well not really sure what else to add...have a great week everyone

3-31-14

Spring break was better than we thought. We met and taught a lot of new people. Most of them are married or over the YSA age so we have to hand them over to family wards. At least they will still get taught by missionaries.

The weather was getting nice and warm until a random snow storm came yesterday.

Sister Braegger and I have been working super hard to try to find new people to teach. There was a set back when she injured her back and had to go on some intense medicine that would make her funny. She is getting better now though so it is good that it wont be a continuing problem for her.

Happy to hear about a wonderful cruise with the Price and Snyder families! I've enjoyed the pictures that I've seen so far. Especially the one of all the teenagers in footie pajamas.

We have a new investigator named Adam. He has read all the way past 2nd Nephi and it hasn't even been a week. So he seems promising.

Not really sure what else to add!

Love you all! Stay safe and take care :)
